firing / MACD bearish
MACD bearish — Short-side study. Fires when the MACD line crosses below its signal line. Mega-cap names that fired this theme in the last 5 daily bars (30 names scanned). Write-up: MACD bearish cross.
Today's scan
A firing is a regime label on the last daily bars, not a trigger and not a forecast. Win rate and count are that rule’s history on that symbol. A row with fewer than 10 firings is anecdote, not evidence. If the last bar date is older than the last completed session, it is not today’s read — say so.
| Symbol | Rule | Last date | Win / n |
|---|---|---|---|
| AMD | MACD bearish crossSHORT | 2026-10-09 | Win 42.9% · n=21 |
| NVDA | MACD bearish crossSHORT | 2026-10-12 | Win 37.5% · n=24 |
Win 1mo / count are this rule's history on that symbol, not a prediction. Rows with n<10 are anecdotes (folded below). The 75/10 screen is an in-sample sort, not a proven edge. Open a name for the full 5d / 1mo / 3mo table, or a rule for the method.
FAQ
What does this page show?
Today's mega-cap firing scan (/firing), kept only when the rule is MACD bearish cross. Same events as GET /api/firing?universe=mega, filtered by the catalog slugs macd-bearish-cross.
Is this a new signal?
No. The math is the rank-panel rule already listed on /api/meta. This URL is a named cut for crawlers and for people who want one theme.
Is this a recommendation?
No. Historical 1-month win rates on daily bars, not a forecast and not a buy or sell list.
Method
On this site every rule is scored the same way: run it over about two years of daily bars, record each firing, and measure what the name did 5 days, 1 month and 3 months later. Sell signals are measured as shorts, so a positive return is a profitable short (side-adjusted). The composite score is 0.6 × average return + 0.4 × (win rate − 50), with longer horizons weighted more. Nothing here is a forecast.
Filtered from the same scan as GET /api/firing?universe=mega. Full scan (every rule): /firing.
Honest caveats
- Past ≠ future. Everything here is a historical measurement on daily bars, not a prediction and not investment advice.
- No costs modeled. Forward returns are close-to-close with no commissions, slippage or borrow.
- Overlap bias. Signals that fire in clusters get credit for the same move more than once.
- Small samples. A row with fewer than 10 firings is anecdote, not evidence.
