Lord of TA is a technical-analysis research terminal. It doesn't tell you what to buy โ it measures how well classic technical signals have actually worked, per stock, and shows you which ones are firing right now. TA here tells you which classic rule printed and whether it historically paid. It does not say why the stock moved โ options positioning is often why, and that map lives at SpotGamma Equity Hub. Free daily note on where funds are buying and selling: Flow Patrol. Every statistic on the site comes from the same engine: run a library of signal rules over two years of daily bars, record every time each rule fired, and measure what the stock did 5 days, 1 month and 3 months later. Server-rendered copies (no JavaScript): today's firing scan, what works on SPY, methodology.
Type any US symbol in the search box. Toggle overlays (moving averages, Bollinger bands, Ichimoku, pivots, โฆ) and panes (RSI, MACD, stochastics, volume studies, โฆ) with the chip bar. Clicking a rule anywhere else on the site opens the chart with that rule's historical buy/sell markers and an equity curve overlaid, so you can see exactly when it fired and what followed.
Intervals & horizons: the header toggles switch bar interval (15m / 1H / D / W) and horizon (1D โ MAX, varying by interval). Short horizons like 1M/3M still load a longer history underneath so indicators have warm-up data โ zoom out to see it.
Zoom & pan: scroll (or pinch on touch screens) to zoom, drag to pan, double-click or the โคข button to reset. The +/โ buttons in the chart corner do the same. Signal-rule markers are daily constructs โ picking a rule from an intraday chart switches back to daily bars.
Backtest sizing: with a rule selected, the Backtest control in the chart toolbar sets a starting $ capital or starting share count (shares are valued at the first visible bar's close). The strategy-equity subplot then plots portfolio value in dollars vs buy & hold, and the hover readout shows the running backtest value.
The right-hand panel backtests 22 signal rules (RSI crosses, MACD crosses, moving-average crosses, Bollinger touches, stochastic crosses, and friends) on the current symbol and ranks them. Sell signals are measured as shorts, so a positive return always means "following the signal made money."
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| # | Sample size โ how many times the rule fired in the lookback window. Below 10 firings the row is tagged LOW N: treat its stats as anecdote, not evidence. |
| Win 1m | Of those firings, the percentage that were profitable in the signal's direction one month later. Above 50% means the signal usually worked. |
| Avg 1m / 3m | The average return in the signal's direction over that horizon, across all of its firings. |
| Score | A composite of edge and consistency: 0.6 ร average return + 0.4 ร (win rate โ 50), blended across horizons with longer horizons weighted more. Higher = stronger historical edge on this ticker. |
Scans a whole universe for every signal that fired in the last 5 bars and joins each one with that rule's historical record on that specific ticker. "Best setups" shows one row per name (its highest-scoring fresh signal); "All signals" shows everything. Rows are ranked by Score โ the same edge formula as the rank panel โ so the top of the list is "fresh signal + strong history." MIXED means the name also fired a signal in the opposite direction (conviction discount). Hover any column header for its definition. Click a row to open the chart with that rule overlaid. A crawlable HTML table of the same scan lives at /firing.
Runs one indicator across a built-in universe (mega caps, Mag 7, growth, โฆ) or a custom ticker list, and sorts by the result โ e.g. "show me RSI across all mega caps."
