FAQ

What share of mega-caps are above SMA50 and SMA200?

On the last daily bar (2026-10-12), 22 of 30 (73.3%) scored names closed above SMA50 and 22 of 30 (73.3%) closed above SMA200 (Top 30 US mega-caps, 30 of 30 names scored). Most mega-caps closed above SMA200 as of 2026-10-12. Study snapshot of daily bars, not a prediction / not trade advice.

How are advances, declines, and 52-week highs counted?

Advance/decline is last close versus the prior close (21 / 9 (0 unchanged) across 30 names). Counted on 30 names with 252 daily bars. A new high (low) is the last bar's high (low) matching the 252-bar extreme. Names without enough history are omitted from that statistic, not counted as zero.

Is this a market forecast?

No. It is a study snapshot of last completed daily bars for the default mega universe — not a prediction, not a buy or sell list, and not investment advice. Method: /methodology. Caveats: /help.

Method

Same delayed daily bars as rank and firing (service._load + sma from the trend library). SMA50 needs 50 closes; SMA200 needs 200; 52-week highs/lows need 252 daily bars. Advance/decline is last close versus the prior close. Session date is the newest last bar among scored names. The page is marked STALE when that date is older than last_completed_session() (most recent weekday after 16:15 ET; NYSE full-day holidays skipped).

Honest caveats

  • Past ≠ future. This is a snapshot of last completed daily bars, not a prediction and not investment advice.
  • Missing history is omitted. A name without 50 / 200 / 252 bars is left out of that share — it is not counted as below or as a new high.
  • Not a list. Illustrative tickers are examples from the scan, not a buy or sell list.
